Progress: 130
Key points:
- Hold each item in your hands and ask yourself: does this bring you joy? If the answer is no, discard it
- Get rid of your stockpiles
- discard everything that you don't need or use
- “Truly precious memories will not vanish even if
you discard the objects associated with them” -->
we live in the present, here and now!
- “By deciding what to discard, you process your
past”
- "It is not our memories but the person we have
become because of those past experiences that we should treasure. The space in
which we live should be for the person we are becoming now, not for the person
we were in the past”
- Reduce until the point where you feel a click --> that's when you know how much is just right for you (if you don't feel a click, you can still reduce)
- "putting your house in order is the magic that creates a vibrant and happy life"
